You Lift Me

Today I am posting a card that I made with a digital image from Stamping Scrapping Techniques and Tutorials.  If you belong to the site, then the digital image is free.  I think it is adorable.  This site is amazing with all of the different things you can learn from it, free items, and discounts on products.  It definitely pays for itself.

Here is the card that I made.  I thought the sentiment, "Your love keeps lifting me!", went perfectly with the heart balloon digital image.  Some of these papers my daughter gave to me for Christmas.  She picked out the perfect papers!

Have a beautiful Sunday!

Girls!

My daughter, Brittany, and her best friend, Kristin (who I think of as my daughter as well), decided to make cupcakes last night.  They are already getting into the next holiday!  They did a really good job, and more importantly, they had fun doing it.  I guess they were celebrating the fact that they are Seniors in High School, are done with exams, and do not have to go back to school until next Tuesday!  Yeah for them!

Happy Wednesday!

Cute Little Valentine

Well, I haven't been very good about posting to my blog in the New Year!  I am going to blame my Doctor, LOL!  He has told me that I still need to keep my foot up as much as possible, and with going back to work, I have been having a rough time!  I finally got back into my craft room this morning - and even though I was working ahead on my design work - I produced a little Valentine card to share today!  I just love these Hanglar images, maybe not as much as Magnolia images, but they are adorable! My friends in Sweden are so lucky that they can get these images so much easier than we can in the US!

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone has a fabulous day!  I will be posting more Valentine's cards as the weeks lead up to February 14th.

Cowboy Tilda

It is my time to post for the Sports Challenge on MSL.  I have made a card with Cowboy Tilda!  I love rodeos and just had to use this Maggie stamp on a card!

I used Cosmo Cricket Wanted cardstock for my papers and Core'dinations Gemstones cardstock for the base of the card.  I used gemstones, ribbon from my stash and clay beads on the card.  I had a lot of fun making this card.  I hope this inspires you to be creative and make a sports card for the challenge!

Quilling Day 2

I have made my first project with the items that I have quilled.  I made a dragonfly, flower, stem, and leaves.  I put it all together and made a tag.  It is basic, but it is a start.

Happy Sunday!

Quilling

Ok, I have decided I am going to learn new things this year.  The first new thing I have started on is quilling.  I worked on this yesterday and decided to post it.  It is just a small thing, but I think it turned out pretty good.  What do you think?

Well, today in NC it was 71 degrees!  Can you believe it?  It is January and the weather is Spring-like!  Well, I am sure it will not last, in fact tomorrow the high is supposed to be 52 and then even lower on Monday.  Today was gorgeous!

Happy Saturday!

Valentine Tree

It is my day to post a project for the MSL Kraft Paper Challenge.  I have used a kraft paper lunch bag in my project.  I made this for my husband for Valentine's Day.  He does not look at this post, so he will not see this!  I made the paper bag into a "tree".  I put some candies inside the paper bag for him and hung a gift card for a night out to dinner and a movie in the envelope I hung on the tree.  Here is the envelope:

This sentiment is part of the new Magnolia Collection Sweet Crazy Love.  I also used Tilda with Cozy Heart and Edwin with Heart on this project.  Here they are below:

I also used the Be Mine heart image from the same collection.  I cut out hearts and either stamped them or layered them before I hung them from the branches of the tree.  I hope you like my project.  If you are interested in how I made this, you can access the tutorial in the Stamping Scrapping Tutorials and Techniques website.

Happy Thursday!!!  Hope this has inspired you to make a Kraft creation of your own!

Update on my surgery

I am just updating my many friends here on the foot surgery that I had the Wednesday before Christmas.  I went to the doctor today and the pathology report came back clear - YIPPEE!!!!  The bandages came off today and I can gradually, over the next four days, get back to starting to walk, shower, wear a tennis shoe, etc.  This is gradual though, so I cannot push it!  I have been on the couch/bed for two weeks so I really want to just RUN!!!!!  But cannot do that, nor does my foot want to do that!  LOL!

Okay, I will show you the scary part now.

Funny thing is, my foot is actually smaller now than it was before the surgery - a little hard to tell because there is still some swelling - but my doctor had to take so much unviable tissue out that my foot is actually smaller now than my other one.  I do not care - as long as the pain is gone, the tumor is gone, and I can walk!!!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!  I have made a resolution that I will post to my blog at least 5 times a week.  I was going to post yesterday, but things just didn't work out.

The first thing that I want to tell you about is a great site that I belong to.  If you are interested in tutorials, ideas, getting involved with others that are interested in crafts and cardmaking, then you must check out this site.  Stamping Scrapping has a site for Techniques and Tutorials.  There is a small monthly fee, but it is, and will be, well worth it.  I hope you will check it out!

Tomorrow, I will post a sketch of the month.  Stay tuned!
