Out on a Limb

Well you all know how much I love going to Artistic Abandon with my friends, where we drink wine, eat snacks and paint a beautiful painting!  We had so much fun doing this last week.  As always, I will take you through the progression towards the final product.

First is the blank canvas that we started with.

 We then put shades of gray on the canvas with a hill, with white in the middle of the canvas.

We filled in the hill with shades of black.

We then started adding the main tree trunk and branches.

Then we started adding the limbs, making sure that the limbs were smaller as they projected out.

The reason the picture is called Out on a Limb is because I then placed the two little birds - on the limb.

I thought this painting was really good, and then the instructor told us to put brown over the entire painting.  I wasn't sure that was going to look good, but it did!

Wine A Little

Today I am showing a creation that I made with one of Priscilla's Digi Stamps.  I love her digi stamps and am happy that I am on the CDAC Design Team so I can create with them.  The digi that I am highlighting today is the grapes and leaves that I have paired with a wine themed designer paper.  On the inside of the card I am going to put the sentiment - "Wine A Little, You will Feel Better"!  I have the perfect person to send this card to!

Angels Digi

One of the challenges on Crafter's Digital Art Center (CDAC) is the Progressive Freebie Challenge.  The freebie digi right now is an Angel Digi and a sentiment by Shelly's Images.  In order to get the freebie, you have to make a project using it and link it to the challenge.  The reason it is progressive is that you will then get the freebie image for the next time.  I love being on the Design Team for CDAC, I just adore the images and it is fun being creative with this group - so much is going on.
