Altered Tri-Fold with Punch Art

I am crazy about doing these Altered Tri-Fold Cards lately.  This one I used punch art on it to make a car.  I started thinking about how creating cards was like putting a puzzle together.  I start with one piece of the puzzle and then I am able to put the other pieces together in my craft room.  Sometimes I start with a color scheme, sometimes I start with a stamped image that I want to color, other times I start with a different kind of folding card or a piece of designer paper that I want to use.  I always have fun putting the "pieces" together and love to see what the outcome is going to be.  Here is a card that depicts that puzzle and creativity.  The front page has the punch art car and some puzzle pieces:

The inside also uses the puzzle pieces and a Spellbinders die.

Here is the card opened up:

I love this card and the colors.  Hope you do too!

Happy Sunday.  Hugs, Meg

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!  I am posting a card today that I made over the weekend.  The punch art hearts on the front of the card are really fun!  This card is made using the altered tri-fold shutter card pattern.  I am loving this card type!  I also used Fiskars Advantedge to punch out the daisy pattern.

Have a great day!

Zentangle #1

I have been working on learning how to Zentangle.  I just started running a swap on a yahoogroup that is all about Zentangles.  I had someone drop the ball on the swap they were supposed to send, so I am "angeling" the swap myself.  This is the very first Zentangle that I have done.  I have been practicing doing the different Zentangle designs, but have not done a complete one yet.  Until now.  I hope the person I am sending it to will like it.  I am a novice at this but will continue to learn.

ATC's

I had to make two ATCs for a swap that I signed up for.  I made the ATCs yesterday.  One had to be relating to steampunk and the other needed to be a free-style one.  I love making ATCs because I can use scraps on them.  I need to make more of these, they are fun!

Happy Sunday!

Altered Tri fold Card

I made an altered tri fold card, using some of the daisy punched cardstock that I punched with my new Fiskars Advantedge.  I guess I am wanting Spring to come now because I was drawn to all of the Spring colors in my craft room.  I really like this altered tri fold card since it doesn't have as many cuts as the other tri fold card.  I got the directions from Faye's blog here:  http://www.creativewalkabout.blogspot.com/2013/01/altered-tri-shutter-card.html
I think I will be making a bunch more of these.

Here is the card that I created:

Fiskars Advantedge

Ok, I bought a new tool the other day - the Fiskars Advantedge.  I can now punch a 12" strip of cardstock perfectly with this tool.  There are big and small punches that can be used in this tool.  Here is what it looks like:

The tool comes with the daisy punch - which is amazing!

I also purchased the cupcake punch:

And then I purchased a smaller punch.  It is a film strip; however, it can be used to run ribbon through it.

I think that this is going to be one of my most favorite tools!  Can't wait to get more of the punches.

Happy Sunday!

Surprise Pop Up Card

Today I made a Surprise Pop Up Card.  I followed the directions on Splitcoast Stampers.  It actually is a very easy card to make.  I used an image on the card that I had colored previously and used scrap papers that I have in my scrap bin.  Here is a picture of the card closed.

Then, when you pull the ribbon at the top of the card, the card looks like this:

What a fun card!

Happy Saturday!  Hugs, Meg
