Valentine Hearts

I made this card for Valentine's Day but haven't shown it until now.  I used my silhouette to cut the intricate heart in the background.  I watched a youtube video on how to make the male and female hearts.  They were really fun to make.  If you look closely, you can see that the female has cleavage.  The hardest part of making these hearts was the little tie on the male heart.  I am just not good at making those teeny tiny knots.  Each Valentine card I made was different but they all had the similar theme with the hearts.  I need to start in on Easter Cards so be on the lookout for new cards posting this weekend!

Masculine Card

My husband drives a Harley, so I am always interested in motorcycle stamps and cards.  This motorcycle stamp is from Stampin Up.  I used red riding hood paper behind the white that the image is stamped on and a metallic paper that I ran through the Big Shot.  I layered all of this onto a black base for the card.  I used black soot distress ink around the edges of the white paper.  I just love the way this card turned out.

Masculine Birthday Card

This is a fairly simple card using a stamp set from Stampin Up.  The papers used are also from Stampin Up.  I colored the image with copic markers and made grass "flicks" with copics so that it looked dimensional.  The shading is from distress inks.  I struggle sometimes with masculine cards but this seemed to work out.  I will post another masculine card tomorrow.  This one is very different from the one tomorrow - stay tuned!

Soot Stamping

I adore this dress stamp, and especially when I use it with soot stamping.  I stamp the image onto glossy paper with a versamark ink and then light a candle and hold the paper over it to produce the soot.  Once I am done, I wipe it off and the image shows through as you see above.  I used some gorgeous glitter paper in two different colors of pink and some black paper to highlight this gorgeous picture.  This is one of my favorite techniques.  Here is a close up of the dress.
